Where Learning Lights the Way

Building Hope Through Education in Our Rohingya Communities

Our Academic Mission

At REDS, we believe education is the cornerstone of peace, dignity, and a brighter future. Even amidst displacement and uncertainty, we are committed to providing Rohingya children and youth with safe, inclusive, and quality learning opportunities. Through community-driven efforts, we aim to restore hope, build resilience, and empower the next generation with the tools they need to thrive.

Community-Led Learning That Reaches Every Corner

While traditional classrooms may be out of reach for many, education doesn’t stop at the school gates. Our community-led learning initiatives bring flexible, culturally relevant education into homes, neighborhoods, and safe spaces. From peer-to-peer teaching to parent-supported learning circles, we make sure no child is left behind—even in the most remote areas of the camps.

Building a Generation of Rohingya Educators from Within the Community

We believe that the most effective teachers are those who understand the language, culture, and struggles of their students. That’s why we exclusively train Rohingya youth and adults to become community educators. Through intensive workshops, they learn child-friendly teaching methods, basic subject knowledge, classroom leadership, and how to support children affected by trauma and displacement.
These Rohingya volunteers are not just teachers — they are leaders shaping the future of their community through education and empathy.

Our training sessions equip Rohingya volunteers with practical tools like flashcards, storybooks, and group activities to create engaging, child-friendly classrooms.

Every trained Rohingya teacher becomes a role model — guiding children with empathy, cultural understanding, and a shared language of hope.
