Education is the First Step Toward Lasting Change and a Brighter Future for All
We believe that education is the key to restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity in the lives of displaced and marginalized communities
Raising Our Voice for Rohingya Education
Education is not a privilege — it’s a right. For thousands of Rohingya children living in displacement, access to education remains a distant dream. At the Rohingya Education Development Society (REDS), we work tirelessly to raise awareness about the critical importance of education in refugee communities. give title forit
The Journey Beyond Statelessness Begins Here
For Rohingya children growing up in refugee camps, education is more than just a classroom experience — it is their only path to hope, dignity, and identity. Without access to consistent and quality learning, these children face a future defined by poverty, marginalization, and lost potential. At REDS, we believe that raising educational awareness is the key to changing this reality. By engaging families, communities, and stakeholders, we help reduce school dropouts and advocate for inclusive, rights-based education for all Rohingya children. Our awareness efforts empower parents to support their children’s learning, inform communities about the long-term benefits of education, and encourage youth to dream beyond borders.

How We’re Spreading Awareness
At REDS, we believe that change begins with awareness. That’s why we run grassroots programs within Rohingya communities to promote the value of education and inspire action. From enrolling out-of-school children to training volunteer teachers and distributing learning materials, our awareness efforts are designed to reach every corner of the refugee camps. By engaging parents, youth, and community leaders, we’re building a culture that sees education not as a privilege, but as a right for every Rohingya child.

Community-Based Awareness Campaigns
We work directly within Rohingya refugee communities to spread awareness about the transformative power of education. Our approach goes beyond classrooms — we engage entire families and communities. Through targeted workshops, group discussions, and awareness campaigns, we bring together parents, youth, and community leaders to build a deeper understanding of why education is essential for every child.
Many Rohingya families have faced years of displacement and trauma, often viewing education as inaccessible or less urgent. That’s why our programs focus on reshaping this mindset — showing families that education is not only possible, but vital for a brighter, more stable future.
We support foundational learning for young Rohingya children through informal play-based education, helping them develop basic literacy, numeracy, and social skills from an early age.
We work to ensure Rohingya children can enroll in and complete their primary and secondary education. Our awareness campaigns help reduce dropouts and support continuous learning despite displacement.
In today’s world, digital skills are essential. We introduce teenagers to basic computer use, mobile learning apps, and online resources to prepare them for future opportunities.
Together for a future through learning
At REDS, we believe that education is not just an individual journey — it is a shared responsibility and a collective dream. In every refugee camp, behind every child holding a pencil or sitting under a tree to learn, there are families, volunteers, teachers, and community leaders who make that moment possible.
Through our awareness campaigns, scholarship programs, and grassroots engagement, we unite these voices to create lasting change. From mothers attending workshops to youth leading learning circles, our mission is strengthened by the power of unity. Education is the bridge between the struggles of today and the hope of tomorrow. When we work together — across generations and across communities — we make that bridge stronger, wider, and filled with opportunity for every Rohingya child.
Building Stronger Communities Through Education, Leadership, and Compassionate Training
At the heart of our mission is the belief that sustainable education begins with empowered teachers and dedicated volunteers. Our comprehensive training programs equip educators and community volunteers with essential skills, modern teaching methods, and culturally sensitive approaches tailored to refugee and underserved communities. Through hands-on workshops, mentorship, and continuous support, we foster confident leaders who inspire and uplift learners every day.
Community-led teaching is vital because it builds trust, relevance, and resilience within the learning environment. When education is delivered by people who understand local challenges and culture firsthand, students are more engaged, and positive outcomes flourish.
